Can truth be known? Where did man get the...
Where did man get the idea of morality? Why do people want to know the boundaries of what is permissible and right? Since these things are understood in all humanity, it stands that man has a built in understanding that right and wrong exist. Where did man get this understanding? Mankind has always exemplified the desire, and the need, to worship. Where did man get this need and desire to worship? Man did not originate these ideals, so they had to be placed in man. Since there is a being greater than man, and able to give man a just and righteous standard, would GOD be just and righteous if HE did not give man the ability to access and understand this standard. Man may realize that a standard of right and wrong exist, but man has to read, understand and apply this truth with personal action. Realization does not equate to man having every principle of truth built within him. We still have the responsibility to learn the truth through study.
Psalm 34:8 - O taste and see that the Lord is good:
blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
1Timothy 2:4 - Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
Give The Bible a fair and just consideration. For a Book that has continued for millennium, stood the scrutiny of men, and been hated by those wicked men. It has endured endless criticism, and men have attempted to annihilate it, and burn it. Yet, this very Book, The Bible, is accurate Historically, Archaeologically, Geographically, Scientifically, Astronomically, Prophetically, Contextually, and has a unified message. Truth exist, it is The Bible, GOD's words!
Jn.6:68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
John 18:37 .............Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
Main points of the previous lesson 2 study:
-GOD's word can guide us safely through life, if we follow it.
-GOD wants us to know truth.
-GOD wants all people to be saved, JESUS came to save us from our own sins. (Have you ever committed sin, all of us have. None of us can pay for the forgiveness of our sins, only the Blood of JESUS can remove sins.)
-The Bible is accurate, and there are many examples to prove it.

What about Jesus?
Lesson 3
Jesus once asked a group of men, "But who do you say that I am?" (Matthew 16:15)
How would You answer that question? What does the Bible say about Jesus?
How should we describe Jesus? A decent man? An influential teacher? A prophet? A deceiver? God in the flesh? Which of these descriptions of Jesus are accurate? Regardless of what a person might think about Jesus of Nazareth, it is a historical fact that He lived on the earth about 2000 years ago. The truth is, there is clear evidence given in the Bible that shows He was the Son of God. What kind of evidence?
