Faithfulness

To the man who received five talents and gained five others, and the man who received two talents and gained two others, their Lord said, "His master said to him, 'Well done good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.'"(Matthew 25:21, 23 - ESV).
The Parable of the Talents spoken by our Lord in Matthew 25:14-30 illustrates the necessity of FAITHFULNESS in being well pleasing to God. Someone said that ability plus opportunity equals responsibility. That principle is vividly set forth in the Parable of the Talents.
The great need in the Lord's church is for FAITHFULNESS by all members. God in Heaven who created man knows both the needs of the church and of man. That which He asks of man is for His glorification and man's justification (Isaiah 43:7; Ephesians 3:21; James 2:24). Simple FAITHFULNESS on the part of all would solve the problems which so often beset the church and bring about those qualities of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, etc., so desperately needed by all.
To insure our Spiritual Safety let us do all we can to help in carrying out the mission of the church. Let us work diligently to reach the lost, edify the saved, and assist the needy. We will never be without plenty to do in the Lord's Service. But we will find it most interesting and our lives will be rich and rewarding.
