The
purpose of the church established by Christ Matt. 16:18 must be to preach and
teach the gospel of Christ Matt. 28:18-20 and Mark 16:15-16. Therefore the
purpose of the congregation at Pioneer and Bell in Elk City, OK is "Preaching
first century Christianity in the twenty-first century".
Part of the purpose of each congregation
includes providing opportunities for studying the Bible and publicly worshiping God in spirit and truth John 4:24. This would include the opportunity
for the members to come together to observe the Lord's Supper on the first day
of each week Acts 20:7.
