If You Don’t Go!

Through the Bible many great leaders, teachers, preachers, priests, prophets, and kings have been held up in doing the Lord’s work because they claimed to not understand the way to go… or as a wise man once put it, “I didn’t understand the ‘Structions’, Gramma!” In this lesson, we will discuss God’s way for his people, the Church, and how to follow His instructions to our eternal goal – Heaven, and a Home with Him.

Exodus 4:12 – God explains to Moses that He will teach him what to say.

* It is God’s desire to teach His people: Isaiah 54:13

* It should be man’s desire to learn from the Lord: Psalm 27:11

* It should be man’s desire to teach others Galatians 6:6

* Especially his own children: Proverbs 22:6

* Man does need to realize, however, that his understanding of

   things Godly are lower than those of the Masterful Teacher:

   Isaiah 55:8,9 

But what are His thoughts and ways?

1. God loves us! And we are COMMANDED to love Him: Matthew 22:37,38

2. We are also COMMANDED to love our neighbors:

 Matthew 22:39

3. We are COMMANDED to love one another:

John 15:12

4. Our love to God is shown through our obeying these commandments: John 14:15

5. He showed us the “Greater Love”: John 15:13

This is the “Gospel” – the good news that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God and He died for forgiveness of our sins – and our salvation!

We are COMMANDED to GO – that is not keep this information to ourselves, but, to share this “great mystery” (Ephesians 6:19) with everyone – “ALL the nations” (Matthew 28:19,20)

In these two simple verses is the complete duty of the Christian – to GO and MAKE disciples of all the nations, BAPTIZING them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, TEACHING them to OBSERVE all things I have COMMANDED you, and lo I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

That’s the beauty of the teaching of God’s way; since the beginning, with Moses in the deserts of Midian, until now, God promises to be right there with us as we proclaim his word – through his word!

And what way shall we GO Church?

Galatians6:6 – 10

Let us not grow weary in well doing!

God loves us!

         We love God!

                     God has sent us on a mission to teach,

Even those in the household of Faith!

Let us not grow weary in well doing!
