Food For Thought

Workers needed!

With each mailout of House to House Heart to Heart, we receive 130 additional copies to hand deliver or mail out to others. We have a surplus of previous editions and need to get them out into the community.

This is how you can help:

1)     Pray for this effort!

2)     Bring names and addresses of folks to receive the House to House Heart to Heart.

3)     If possible, come to the mailout meetings to help write the addresses on the mailouts.

This week, we would like to focus on PREVIOUS CO-WORKERS. Please bring the names and addresses of at least 3 people that you have worked with in the past. Place them in the basket that will be in the foyer. We will mail the House to House Heart to Heart to them. It would be great if you send them a card the same week of the mailout letting them know to be expecting it and that you wanted them to receive it.

After the 2nd mailout, send them a card inviting them to meet you for coffee, lunch, etc. Ask them what they thought about House to House Heart to Heart. Encourage them to answer the quizzes and mail them in to receive their promised reward. Offer to help them, if needed.

After meeting with them, send them a note, text, or email inviting them to visit with you at Woodhaven. No matter what the response may be from your previous co-worker, you have planted the seed! You may be pleasantly surprised what comes from your effort!

Just start with these 3 people. And pray for them every day. Then leave the rest to God!

How far is it to church?

By: Bill Bryant, Wooddale Church of Christ

The story is told of a minister who went to visit a family that rarely attended services after a recent move.
