The purpose of the church is to glorify God,
to save souls and to edify each other.
This can be accomplished if we:
Have Unity in Essentials: There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Ephesians 4:4-6 (NKJV)
Have Liberty in Non-essentials: Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things. Romans 14:1 (NKJV) So then each of us shall give account of himself to God. Romans 14:12 (NKJV)
Show Love In All things: Thou I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. I Corinthians 13:1 (NKJV) And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV)
The Calera Church of Christ is a group of Christians bound together by the blood of Christ. We became Christians by hearing about the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (Romans 10:17), placing our faith in Jesus as the Son of God (Mark 16:15-16), repenting of (turning from) our sins (Acts 2:38), confessing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (Romans 10:10) and being baptized for the forgiveness of our sins (Acts 22:16; Acts 2:38; Mark 16:15-16). We then must continue faithfully (Revelation 2:10) trusting in the blood of Christ (1 John 1:5-10).
