Worship in Song
There will be song books on the back of the pew in front of you. One of the unique things about churches of Christ is that the music is a cappella. That is, we sing without any accompaniment from musical instruments, giving everyone the opportunity to participate!
Worship in Prayer and Scripture Reading
Spoken prayers are a large part of our gatherings, as we believe in the power of prayer. As a church attempting to base itself solely on the Bible, we place great importance upon the reading of Scriptures during our service.
Worship in The Lord's Supper
The Lord's Supper will be included in the worship service every Sunday. This is a time for Christians to remember the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and a time to reflect, remember and prioritize one's life around the sacrifice Jesus offered. We encourage all Christians to participate, but it is entirely your choice.
Worship in Giving
Plates will be passed to collect a financial offering. The offering is a freewill offering and whether you give or not is completely up to you.
Worship in Sermon
You will find that the lesson will be based on Biblical teachings designed to "reprove, rebuke and exhort" the hearer. An invitation will be extended at the end of the lesson to encourage those who wish to respond to come to the front. Some may respond to ask for prayers, others may respond to confess sins or some may respond to be baptized for the forgiveness of their sins.
