The Christian's Attitude Toward Tradition
There are at least two classes of traditions stated in the scriptures.
1. Traditions of apostles (2 Thess. 3:6; 2:15).
a. Refers to teachings that originated in the mind of God (Matt. 18:18; Gal. 1:11-14; Acts 2:42; Jude 3).
b. Tradition is instruction or practice which either comes from God or man.
2. Traditions of men (Col. 2:8).
a. Elders (Matt. 15:2-3; Mk. 7:3-11).
b. Fathers (Gal. 1:14; 1 Peter 1:18).
