Andrea Jocelyn Peterson-Brown, was born on October 15, 1971. Her parents, Eddie and Almedia Peterson, lived in University City, MO and nurtured a family of three girls. They attended Page Blvd Church of Christ and after relocating to Black Jack, MO, began attending Florissant Church of Christ. At the age of 17, Andrea accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized.
On October 7, 1994, Andrea married her soul mate, Derrick Brown. Together, they are the parents of five daughters—Arial, Aliyah, Alexis, Arissa, and Autumn—and one son—Derrick Jr, affectionately known as DJ. Their family has grown to include four grandchildren—Kameron, Kaleb, Kenlee, and Harlem.
In January of 2021, Andrea was involved in a terrible motor vehicle accident that resulted in debilitating injuries. With prayers from family and friends and God's Amazing Grace and Mercy she made a remarkable recovery, allowing her to return to church. Derrick and Andrea found a warm and welcoming congregation at Wagner Avenue Church of Christ, where they quickly placed their membership. Andrea finds joy in worshiping and actively participating in various "work" and fellowship activities with her Christian family.
