Where Is Our Mission Field

"...Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few. So pray to the Lord of the harvest to force out and thrust laborers into His harvest..." ~ Matthew 9: 37-38 (AMP)

 

Jesus says here that the harvest is plentiful. What is the Harvest? Is it large groups of people in faraway lands that have not yet heard the gospel of Christ? Could it also be right where we live — at the office, in the factory, the shopping malls, in the home and with our neighbors? The harvest can be anywhere and everywhere — even right where we live. Where there is a harvest - this is where our mission field is.

 

We have a slogan on the wall of our church as you go out the doors, it says, "You are now entering your mission field" — which really sums it up. As we walk out of the church building, we are entering our mission field.

 

Look around you, there's work to do!

The harvest is there, but laborers are few.
