Joyce White, a long-time original member of the Creekview church of Christ, passed from this life on February 16, 2012. She will be sorely missed by her family, her church, and all who knew her. Even so, we rejoice that she has gone to meet her reward. Below is her obituary:
Joyce Marie White age 72 of Gallatin passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012. Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 18th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home with Brother Stacey Durham officiating. Interment will be in Rock Bridge Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Friday, February 17th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 18th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Mrs. White was born July 20, 1939 in Sumner County, TN daughter of the late Louis and Bessie Jane Mitchell Jones. She is survived by husband of 57 years, Jimmy White of Gallatin; sons, Darrell White (Sheri) of Ashland City and Noah White of Gallatin; daughters, Barbara Barrientez (Oxley) of Craig, CO, Sheila Scott (Don) of Kenton, TN and Amanda Schlenker of Murfreesboro, TN; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was a member of Creekview Church of Christ and co-owner of Burger Hut in Gallatin for 10 years.
