Please Come and See!

The church of Christ is not a proper name, but a description of who we are. We are just Christians. (Rom. 16:16)

And the church is not the building, but those who have been added to the body of Christ through obeying the gospel. (Acts 2:47; Rom. 10:16)

As when the church was established in AD33 (Acts 2), we are known only by one word: Christian. (Acts 11:26)

The way that we worship follows the example of first century Christians, recorded for us in the New Testament scriptures. Likewise, the Bible tells us that how to become a Christian in the first century, and today.

We can read we must - Hear the Gospel - Romans 10:17. Believe the Gospel - Hebrews 11:6. Repent of  Our Sins - Acts 17:30. Confess Jesus Christ as the Son of God - Matt. 10:32. Be Baptized for the Remission of Sins - Acts 2:38. Then, God adds us to His church. - Acts 2:47. And having sumitted to the gospel we are commanded to, Remain Faithful Unto Death - Rev. 2:10.

OUR VISITORS ARE OUR HONORED GUESTS!

If you worship with us, this is what you may expect to see following the New Testament example we can read about in the Bible:

We pray to Our Father through the name of Jesus Christ.

We open up the Bible and read it.

A gospel sermon is preached.

We sing from the heart without instruments.

We remember the Lord Jesus Christ's death every first day of the week with the Lord's supper.

Those who have laid funds by in store for the purpose of giving to the work of the church make contributions.

If you are a visitor and are interested in knowing more about the events of the church of Christ in La Feria, please call preacher Roger Goodwin at (956) 277-0434.

"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." (Matt. 28:18-20)
