Debbie was born in Chattanooga to Gordon W. and Alma R. Barrett Smith. They attended East Brainerd Church of Christ until 1959 when they moved to Huntsville, Al. There they attended Plainview Church of Christ and Mastin Lake Road Church of Christ. After returning to Chattanooga in 1982 they attended East Brainerd again for a number of years. Debbie moved to Rossville in 1990 and went to Rossville Church of Christ until she started working third shift at Memorial Hospital in the Commnications Dept, which included working on Saturday and Sunday nights. She attended when she could , but when her dad passed away in 2012 she made a promise to him that she would get back into church. George Cupp preformed his eulogy and Debbie told him that promise and that she intended to make Tyner her home.
Debbie does a lot of computer work and has managed several web sites for her "family". She is so honored to do this for Tyner.
