Growing a strong church one member at a time
Introduction - Common Questions with Uncommon Answers
Don't let Satan fool you! You can learn the truth exactly as God has
delivered it. Not only that, you can teach it to others! Too often
Christians think, "I just don't know enough to share my faith." That
thought either comes from a mind conditioned by God and His word, or
from the father of lies. Ask yourself which one of these seems logical;
God wants me to be timid and afraid, or Satan does. Don't let Satan fool
you!

Introduction
When we approach individuals to share God's word with them one of the biggest fears in our minds is "what if they ask me questions I can't answer." In our diligence to avoid feeling foolish we continually let evangelical opportunities pass. While we can never anticipate all questions, we should be prepared to give an answer for our faith at any time (1 Peter 3:15).
In school we have/had pop quizzes covering the material we were studying at the time. These quizzes were a surprise and the questions on them were also unknown until we received the test. I often wished I had an advanced warning for the quizzes and knew what questions would be presented. In our Christian life from time to time we are presented opportunities to share the gospel that may "quiz" our knowledge. In these lessons we will cover the "questions" that are most likely to be asked of us. This advanced preparation will make us more comfortable and better prepared to talk with others about our faith.
Maybe we can't all give a "moments notice" answer to the advanced issues raised by "studied" members of a denominational faith. We must, however, be absolutely prepared to answer those questions/arguments we most certainly know will be presented us. These lessons will prepare us the answer the "Big" questions/arguments while we spread God's word.
While having a religious discussion, it is VERY important to remember that it is not fruitful to win an argument and loss the soul. We must be gentle, kind and show the love of Christ within without comprising the message of God. The Lord does not want us to defeat those we study with, but save them (2 Peter 3:9).
In this series we discuss the following questions/statements that are commonly used in the denominational world "against" the churches of Christ.
Knowing the question.
Lesson 1 - You people in the Church of Christ think yore the only ones going to Heaven.
Lesson 2 - Why must a person be baptized?
Lesson 3 - Why do you not use pianos and organs in church?
Lesson 4 - Why do you take the Lords Supper every week?
Lesson 5 - Once my God saves me, there is nothing I can do to return to the world.
Lesson 6 - I am divorced and remarried. Is that ok?
Lesson 7 - Why don't you believe in the rapture?
Lesson 8 - How did we get the Bible?
Lesson 9 - Why do you not believe in the OT?
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
