Almost a Christian?

In the twenty-sixth chapter of the book of Acts, King Agrippa told the apostle Paul, "Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian" (Acts 26:28). In my judgment, it would be very sad to know how many precious souls have departed from this world as 'almost Christians.' Upon one occasion my brother told me that he voted in an election in which the man won by one vote. The other candidate came very close, but he lost just as much as if he had lost by ten thousand votes.
So it is with so many who almost become Christians, but who die before they become children of God. Some who die as "almost Christians" have heard the gospel preached for years and years. Some have heard the truth through family members, yet they die outside Christ and therefore outside of salvation.
No one can go to heaven without the blood of Christ! Some people actually try to live "good moral lives," and yet they are sinners and still in need of the blood of Christ. "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace" (Ephesians 1:7). And we read in Colossians 1:13-14: "Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins."
My Friend, if you are not a Christian, then don't put it off any longer. You need to come to Jesus as a penitent lost sinner: Will you not confess the sweetest name on mortal tongue and then be buried by baptism into His death? We read in Romans 6:3-4: "Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."
Jesus wants you to go to heaven, but if you are simply "almost a Christian" you will be lost in hell for all eternity. To be "almost a Christian" is to be altogether LOST! Please obey the Savior before it is too late. Knowing the consequences of being "almost a Christian" why would you delay?
"And now why tarriest thou? Arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord." Acts 22:16
"He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." Mark 16:16
