I am a member of a great company, or brotherhood. The general assembly and church of the firstborn, who are enrolled in heaven (Heb. 12:23).
This company has been “called out” from the world to show God’s love and mercy.
“But ye are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light; who in time past were no people, but now are the people of God; who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy (1 Peter 2:9-10).”
We now have powerful incentives to live righteously and godly (Titus 2:11 – 14). Since this is true, we must take our place worthily among this Brotherhood, the Churches of Christ, to promote it’s good (Eph. 4:1 – 3). We must also do what it takes to insure our own spiritual development (Eph. 4:1 – 3).
In order to do this, we must study the Bible
