What a place for a meeting! First, it was dark – the kind of darkness that you could feel on your face and in your bones. The kind of darkness that makes your eyes search for the smallest pinprick of light. It was a darkness that resulted from the absence of all light. Then there was the heat. It was a heat so intense it took your breath away, a heat that made it impossible to rest. Everywhere there was fire, but no place to set your feet – a lake of fire. But then, what would you expect?
