We are simply a group of Christians (Acts 11:26) seeking to serve God according to His Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17). We are not affiliated with any denomination, but call ourselves the "church of Christ" because that is what the Bible calls the congregations of the first century (Romans 16:16). Our worship is in the beauty and simplicity of the New Testament teaching of worship being "in spirit and in truth" (John 4:23-24). This is why you will not find any modern additions, such as instrumental music and praise teams, in our worship. We teach that baptism is necessary for salvation because that is what Jesus instructed before ascending back to Heaven (Mark 16:16), and because the Bible identifies baptism as the final act of submission placing one into the church (Acts 2:38, 41, 47).

Our Purpose/Mission as the Lord's Church is to:

Glorify God............................... Eph 3:10

Preach the Gospel..................... Rom 1:16

Preach to Everyone................ Matt 28:18-20

What Must One Do To Be Saved?

Hear what the Bible has to say (Romans 10:13-17)

Believe/have faith (John 8:24 ; Mark 16:16)

Repent of sins (2Peter 3:9 ; Luke 13:3,5; Acts 17:30,31)

Confess that Christ is the Son of God (Matthew 10:32-33 ; Romans 10:9-10)

Be baptized/immersed for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38; 1Pet.3:21; Acts 22:16)

Remain faithful until death (Revelation 2:10)

We are located on US Highway 70 between Dickson and Waverly. If you are traveling I-40 from Nashville take exit 172 and head north on Hwy 46. This will take you to Hwy 70...head west out of Dickson and McEwen is approx 12 miles. If coming from Memphis on I-40 take exit 143 and take Hwy 13 North to Waverly, then take Hwy 70 east to McEwen.
