At Forth Payne, Ala., Dec. 18-21.
Mr. Lamb admitted defeat in presence of Baptists and Christians. A large crowd of 40 Baptist preachers came the first night, then bro. Tant exposed the Baptist doctrine. Most of the preachers by the next night had "taken to the tall timber" and by the close of the debate so many Baptist members and preachers were staying away that Mr. Lamb lost his moderator. Bro. Tant left a standing invitation for any Baptist who wishes for a investigation.
Before the debate the church here is two years old and had 12 members. But the last 3 days of debate our attendance was greater than the Baptists who outnumbered us 100 to 1. Truth will stand when all else has fallen. The Baptist tried to close the debate the second night but we held them to it.
