W.L. Totty debated Calvin Gregory at the Lafayette, Tenn. court house.
The auditorium was packed each session. Local Baptists said they had never seen it so packed for any occasion prior to this discussion. It took Mr. Gregory 16 speeches before he would tell when the church was established (Matt.10) and bro. Totty completely showed the absurdity of this. The Baptists looked very dejected at the end of the discussion and that they were not pleased was most evident. Debating is good and bro. Totty is a man who can do it. I moderated for bro. Toddy.
