Bro. Lyon led the first three nights in a clear and forceful presentation of the scriptures showing that the foundation was laid in Jerusalem and the church was established there. Bro. Lyons made his arguments so strong that neither Bogard nor any other Baptist can ever tear them down. Bogard is an able man, but could not sustain his propositions by the word of God. He left the Bible and fled to history. And on history bro. Lyon gave him a complete waterloo. Mr. Bogard made many absurd statements - spent much time telling ugly anecdotes to draw the minds of the people away from the truth. This is a destitute place, and we hope much and lasting good will result from the discussion.
