I debated L. G. Wood, of Mulvane, Kansas, Mr. Wood represented the Brethren (Dunkard) Church. We discussed single and trine immersion and foot washing. We had bad weather and high water kept people away. Still the debate did good. Bro. R. N. Johnson of Altus, Ark. moderated for me.
On my return home (Fayetteville, Ark) I found that another debate was wanted in Madison Co., this time with an Adventist. They were represented by a Mr. Gregory. The practice of two churches in regard to the seventh and first day of the week was discussed. Mr. Gregory acted quite nicely in the debate and presented his side of the matter about as well as it can be done. Everyone seemed well pleased with the pleasant manner in which the debate was conducted.
