U. G. Wilkinson vs Charles C. Platt (Church Of The Firstborn)
October 19, 1922
(Location Unknown)

(By U. G. Wilkinson)

Beginning on Oct. 2 and running for 6 nights there was a discussion between U. G. Wilkinson of the church of Christ and Charles C. Platt, who claimed to be a member of the Church of The First-born which is a kind of no water, no ordinance, dry land Holiness. Mr. Platt is a scholarly gentleman and conducted himself well, representing his side as well as it could be done. I affirmed for 3 nights that water baptism is the one baptism; Platt affirmed H. S. baptism was the one baptism. Large audiences came and great good was done. Young preachers were Loyd Vandiver, moderating for me, W. L. Oliphant, Loyd Wills, Tillman Poke.
