James Earl Gray is a native of New Orleans, La. and grew up in the bayous of Southeastern Louisiana. He is married to the former Patsy Poncella Parker of Athens AL. They have 3 children: Alexandria, Nicole, and James Jr. The Grays presently reside in Huntsville, AL. Brother Gray’s formal education began at Independence High School graduating Valedictorian and receiving the Valedictorian Scholarship. He then attended Southwestern Christian College . He received several academic awards and an academic scholarship to Harding University. He later attended and graduated from Abilene Christian University with a BS in Psychology & Counseling with minor studies in Engineering.
A retired Design Engineer for Goodyear Tire he designed tires for Honda, Toyota, Lexus, Mercedes, Mazda, General Motors, and Ford and share several awards of excellence in OE tire design and manufacturing.
Brother Gray has been preaching for over 36 years and has served several congregations in Alabama, Texas and Tennessee. He has been counseling for over 23 years with special interest in Marital Counseling. He is presently the proud minister of the Eastside Church of Christ in Florence, AL.
