Debate challenge - Regarding C. R. Nichol
November 14, 1903

"We, the undersigned, members of the church of Christ, do hereby challenge D. B. Ray (especially), J. N. Hall. Or any other Missionary Baptist preacher in the U.S. to meet bro. C. R. Nichol, of Clifton, Texas, in an oral discussion on church propositions [baptism, apostasy, establishment of the church], in the town of Wood, Oklahoma Territory. The debate shall last not less than six days, and shall be held within one year from date (Oct.14). Bro Nichol has agreed to meet any man in the Baptist ranks on these propositions. The church of Christ worshiping near Wood will see that bro. Nichol is endorsed. If the challenge is accepted, address bro. Nichol at Clifton, Texas.
