Began a debate with Seventh-Day Adventist on April 30 to May 8.

The day question was discussed. The debate was well attended and afforded Bro. Fuqua a splendid opportunity to set forth the relation of the law and the gospel and show the proper division of the word. The Adventists have long confused the minds of the people on the day question. They took exception to his division of the word and challenged for the debate. Bro. Fuqua did his work so well that that community will not be troubled any more.
