W. T. Boaz vs J. E. Skinner (Missionary Baptist)

At Union Grove meeting house near Murray, Kentucky, March 14-17.
Many
not able to get in the crowded house. The debate was carried on
pleasantly by the speakers and closed with good feeling. There were
several Baptist and Christian preachers present. The interest was
intense. It was a grand victory for truth. Bro. Boaz more than sustained
his former reputation as defender of the faith. The Christians were
jubilant. The Baptists did not seem happy. One could see in their faces
evidence of disappointment and defeat.
