How to Get to Heaven

The Way God's Book Says We Get to Heaven

Below are the scriptures that tell from God's word what he expects from each of us. Please read and study the verses and apply them to your life so that we may all meet together in heaven. I look forward to seeing you there. I have used the New American Standard translation for all scriptures on my pages, but feel free to look them up in your own favorite version. The meaning will not change.

Hear the Word

(Rom 10:17) So then faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Matthew 7:24) Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock
(Matthew 7:25) and the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.
(Matthew 7:26) Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.
(Matthew 7:27)
The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell and great was its fall.?

Believe the Word

(Hebrews 11:6) And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

(Mark 16:15) "And he said unto them, GO into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
(Mark 16:16) He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.

Not By Faith Only

(James 2:18) But someone may well say, You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works. (James 2:19) You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe , and shudder. (James 2:20) But are you willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless? (James 2:24) You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.

Repent

(Act 2:38) Peter said to them, Repent and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

(Act 17:30) Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent.

(Luke 13:3) I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.

Confess Belief

(Matthew 10:32) Then everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in Heaven. (Mat 10:33) But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in Heaven.

(Acts 8:36) And as they went along the road they came to some water; and the eunuch said, :Look! Water! What prevents me from being baptized? (Acts 8:37) And Philip said, If you believe with all your heart, you may. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Must Be Baptized

Baptism per Strong's Bible Dictionary: to immerse, submerge,--to make whelmed, ie. fully wet.

(Acts 22:16) 'Now why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on His name.'

(1Peter 3:18) For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that he might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit; (1Peter 3:19) in which also He went and made proclamation to the spirits now in prison, (1Peter 3:20) who once were disobedient, when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is eight persons, were brought safely through the water. (1Peter 3:21) Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you?not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

(Romans 6:3) Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into his death?

(Romans 6:4) Therefore, we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised for the death through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life (Romans 6:5) For if we have become united with him in the likeness of His, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of his resurrection.

Even Jesus Was Baptized

(Mark 1:9) In those days Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. (Mark 1:10) Immediately coming up out of the water, He saw the heavens opening, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon Him; (Mark 1:11) and a voice came out of the heavens; You are My beloved Son, in You I am well-pleased.

Must Remain Faithful

(John 14:15) If you love me, you will keep my commandments. (John 14:23) Jesus answered and said to him, If anyone loves me, he will keep My word: and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make Our abode with him.
